Question about Mitsubishi WD-62725 62" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

Solid red status light, code 41 after using menu/device on front!

WD-62725 TV with a solid red status light on the front.  Used the Device and the menu buttons to get the 41 error code.  Error codes seem to indicate a "short" of course that's not helpful at all.  Where do I start checking for things?
Thanks for all the help!

Ok, opened the back of the TV after downloading the service manual. since the error mentioned a DVI cable I thought I would have a look to make sure that the cable is connected ok. And it wasn't. Actually it was connected to the back of the light engine and then... nothing. Where is it supposed to be connected!?

WD-62725, no picture, no sound from power on. Red status light blinks 1 then 3 blinks, Using device and menu buttons error code indicates 37 (DMD fan Failure). What can I do to correct this problem?

Hi,

Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Good luck in solving the problem...

Status light stays on solid red

Press the menu and device buttons on the front of the set both in together then count the led falshes. It will blink a series of blinks. Then pause for the first digit then another series of blinks and pause for the second digit then it repeats five times. Let me know what the two digit blink code was and I wil assist you with the diagnosis.

Had a solid amber light indicating a new lamp was needed.

Press the menu amd device/input buttons both in together on the front of the set and hold them both in for 6 seconds to see if the timer light will blink a two digit blink code such as 3 blinks, slight pause then 4 blinks. If it blinks that code you will need the V26 Power pwb repair kit which is available at the following link under repair kits and has step by step instructions.

STATUS LIGHT SOLID RED ON 73 DLP MITSU MODEL WD73735

The colorwheel is your problem. To confirm this, unplug the tv, then listen thru the air vents in the back as you plug the tv in. You will probably hear a ticking sound. If you do, that is the colrwheel. If the colrwheel is working, youwill be able to hear it "spin up". It will be a sudden high pitch whine. Let me know if I can be of further assistance

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525. This morning my TV would not turn on so I pressed the rest button. After the Timer light stopped blinking I pressed power. I could hear the fans start than a somewhat loud...

the status light blinking red means a fan (the unit hs 4 of them) has failed. you need to determine which one. use the self diagnostic function:
Error Code Operational Check
Note:
The TV must be in “Shut Down” and not manually switched Off, to perform the Error Code Operational
Check. When the TV is switched Off, the code automatically resets to “12” No Error.
Press the front panel “DEVICE” and “MENU” buttons at the same time, and hold for 5 seconds to
activate the Error Code Operational Check. The LED will then flash denoting a two digit Code.
Note: The front panel buttons must be used, NOT those on the Remote Control.
• The number of flashes indicates the value of the MSD (tens digit) of the Error Code.
• The flashing then pauses for approximately 1/2 second.
• The LED then flashes indicating the value of the LSD (ones digit) of the Error Code.
Example: If the Error Code is “32”, the LED will flash three times, pause, and then flash two times.
• The Error Code is repeated a total of 5 times.

and read the code.
35= Chassis Fan failure
36 =Exhaust (Back Cover) or Lamp Ballast Fan failure
37= Engine (DMD or Lamp) Fan failure
