Re: cant save contacts to my lg vx8300
I experienced this problem with my LG VX8300 also. It can be very frustrating. This phone can only store 500 numbers. If you get close to having 500 numbers in contacts this will occur every time you try to save. Getting a phone that stores more numbers would be recommended. Otherwise delete some.

Lg VX8300 is a cdma phone that doesn't carry sim card. Your grandson will need to contact T-Mobile, provide them with the ESN # from the back of this phone. They will then switch the service to this phone. You will find ESN number behind the phone, starting with D or H or A (like hex or dec or Meid #)
A SIM TRANSFER DEVICE IS NEEDED YOU CAN BUY THESE ON THE INTERNET OR YOU CAN GO TO YOUR CARRIERS STORE AND THE WILL DO IT FOR FREE IF U BUY THIS DEVICE IT RELATIVELY CHEAP $10 AND $20 DOLLARS GOOGLE IT
Your VX8300 can only play .wma files .. so if there's any .mp3 on there it's going to say that. Also, if you recently put on new files try taking them off then trying the card again .. .if that works then one of your new files are corrupt/unreadable
Another thing to try: goto: Get it now .. music n tones....my music ...songs ...options...reinitialize library database. ( Be warned, you may lose some files this way so make sure everything is backed up on your PC)
Not exactly a solution. I tried leaving it off overnight and tried it several times after removing and inserting the batteries. I also cleaned the contacts with contact cleaner and a Q tip. It did not fix it. But I just left it off for 2 days meaning to go to the Verizon store and get it fixed or replaced. But I turned it on now and it fixed itself! Model VX8300. Maybe the contact cleaning did it but it had to dry more. You can use a Q Tip dipped in a cup of water with a teaspoon of Mr.Clean. But then rinse it with a water wet Q tip and then dry it with a paper towel. I used contact cleaner.
