Question about 2wire HomePortal 1800HG Router (1000400229000)
Sounds to me that ur getting what we call an EMI or electro-magnetic interference. These are signals that interferes with ur wireless signal that comes from other objects like ur computer monitor, TV, microwave, and even the statics on the carpet.
Try relocating ur 2wire to another place. Do NOT put ur 2wire in a carpeted floor or on top of the computer monitor or tower. It would be best to place it on top a wooden surface.
Keep me posted about this.
