Question about Whirlpool RF368 Electric Kitchen Range

Computer gone on the fritze

My mom boyfriend decided it was a good idea to trade in our old stove (with coil, but ran fine) for this whirlpool with a crazy computer. Getting to the point the computer deplays random messages and symbols over and over in no particular pattern. as a result the clock doesnt show the oven doesnt work etc. the actual stove stop does work however. Im hoping to get the oven working if possible, and i think the reason is due to the computer going haywire. Any suggestions are appreciated and if possible please email the answer to Ken

Did you get moisture in the control panel like it got rained on or while cleaning it it may need to dry out for a week

Neither the burners nor the oven will light. When turning the knob to light there is no clicking sound, however, I do smell the gas. We can light the burners with a flame because the gas is there. ...

Before you call a repairman, you first need to decide if the problem is isolated to just the gas stove. Have you tested all your other gas appliances (wtr htr, furnace, etc) to make sure they are operating? If not, call your gas co. If they are working fine, then check your breaker box and check to see if the stove breaker is tripped. If it's fine, then try plugging it into another electrical outlet using an extension cord and see if you get power. If not, then call an appliance repairman for the stove. Douglas

Try holding down the off button for 5 seconds and if this does not work the start button for 5 seconds. Unplug for 5 minutes first. Then try holding the button and then set the clock.

GE XL44 oven does not heat

12 years old? If it is a gas rnge yo need to get a gas technician out to fix it. I would probably say it s time for a new one. Hers is a couple of things to think of when getting a new stove. 1) Everyone wants a self clean. But 90% never self clean. can save up to $200 w/o that option. 2) 80% off people buy a stovebased on looks. A stove may not be pretty but work just as good as one that is.

Whirlpool Gold Range Error code EO F2

On this website: , it shows all of the codes for the Whirlpool errors. Based on the remarks, if it shows a "4 digit failure code" it is "Shorted keypad"
"Replace Electronic Range Control/Clock (ERC)"

But verify this as I am not an appliance repair specialist. I am a computer nerd who just knows how to find information. I am actually trying to figure out an answer to my own problem with my Whirlpool Gold Accubake.

Oven will not heat past 300 degrees (on bake command)

Remove the bottom plate on the stove which is likely help in place by a couple of bolts at the back. Remove the plate & inspect the bake element underneath. It is probably melted or broken in some area. It it does need replacing unplug the stove from the wall & remove one of the back panels at the back of the stove which access the wiring at this height on the stove. Disconnect the element.
Installation of new element is the same but in reverse.
Good luck!
