Question about Juki Sewing Machines
I just got a juki ddl 5500 and I am trying to put it together. The instructions say to nail the operator side of the oil pan to the table and to use rubber cement on he other side. But the pan seems a little bit too small for the table and I am not sure how to nail the side down given that there are rubber stops to either cover the nail with before I nail it down or to cover it after the nail has been hammered in.
Basically I am wanting to know the best way to attach the oil pan to the table
Most of the time the rubber inserts have a slot in the edge of them to slide over the ears on the pan , slide them on all 4 corners and then put the assembly into the table , slide everything to the front of the table. the nail will go through both the rubber and the pan. Use a good quality ,oil resistant sealer , between the rear edge and the table to prevent the oil from splashing out while operating . If your corner cushion does not have the slots in them , put the pan in first nail in place rubber goes on top . Sometimes the rubber needs to be trimmed to height for a perfect head to table fit . The head should be level with the top and the rubber also for a smooth fabric flow while you are sewing. Hope this will help.
