I am a first time user to a sewing machine, I just received this sewing machine last week I have read the entire manual, but canot seem to get it to work eveything is where it is supposed to be, but for some reason it will not sew! the needle is in place, the needle is threaded correctly, but the thread is not adhearing to the clothes in which I would like to sew? please help in any way possible, it is also not much help in the instructions booklet.....Any advice would help Thanks

Is there thread on the bobbin spool that goes on under the area where the needle goes up and down? This can be accessed by opening a drawer like compartment at the bottom left of the sewing machine. You need both the bobbin thread from under and the thread in the needle from the top to get a secure stitch.
