Yes the amp section can be peplaced.

Call Velodyne, the amps are not that expensive.

Loud speaker static when the car is off. It drained that battery. I tried pulling the radio fuse but it was still making the noise. I had to disconnect the battery to get it to stop. Any ideas?

I GUESS that the speakers are driven by an after market amplifier. An amplifier needs to be connected to a power source that is only on when the radio is on, through a relay.

So I GUESS that:
  1. The wiring is incorrect. Or
  2. If is has a relay, the relay is stuck.

I have 2 velodyne fsr 12 subs. both were taken out by PG&E power surges. One make a white noise that cuts in and out, but will still play bass when fed a signal, the other makes a loud static sound...

Not that it would help.

Is the white noise present in the absence of an input connection, free-floating?

The amps in both of them sound like they

My CHT-8 powers on but doesn't have sound.

Check your receiver's speaker set up menu and make sure suboofer output is set to ON.

Clicking noise from sub when in standby mode

Disconnect the input. Does it stop? If yes...

It sounds like it's sensing a signal at its turn-on threshold. Figure out why there's signal present when it shouldn't be there.

Exactly how is it connected to the source? LFE-only or full-range signal?

I hear some noise coming out from the woofer of CHT-12R

It very well could be the spaker leads hitting the speaker cone.

You could check this by removing the amp section from the back.
Remove the screws at the very edge of the amp panel.

Sounds like a bad amplifier.

One of the input caps on the power side is my guess

best bet is to contact Velodyne for a repair or replacment
