Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Mouse Receiver from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the Mouse Receiver to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

Dell XPS M1530 bluetooth wireless mouse

since it is a wireless bluetooth mouse, you should make sure that each time you restart your system make sure that the bluetoth is enabled nd working. Also see the battery check on the mouse. if you are having more than one USB port, make sure you try on them too. Hope to hear from you.

Thankyou

Hi!
Try uninstall the Touchpad driver, the reinstall using THIS ONE.
It says Vista/XP/2k support, but it worked for me on several M1330 machines, on Windows 7 as well...

Good luck,

Try plugging in your device then rebooting the computer. And when you plug them in does it properly install the drivers?

Brand new dell xps laptop, touchpad will not scroll.

The Dell touchpad settings can be accessed in Vista by going to Start -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Mouse. If the box that appears when you open the mouse properties doesn't say anything about dell then you need to install the driver for the touchpad. To do this go to http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen and then click "Enter a Tag", then enter your service tag, which can be found on the underside of your computer, into the box and click "Go". After selecting the operating system that is running on the machine click the little + icon next to "Imput Device Drivers" and once that expands download and install the one that says "Dell - Driver Applies to Touchpad / Pointing Stick". Once it is installed the computer may need to restart.

Screen Saver no longer runs when Microsoft wireless mouse 3000 is installed.

this is a common problem when using wireless equipment in windows. Especially on Dell notebooks. The PCMService.exe program starts when the computer starts and interaction at some level between this and the Wireless reciever prevents the computer from becoming idle. Therefore, the screen saver and the other idle-related features do not start. this issue may also occur if the PCM and DVDLauncher services are running in the background. This issue also occurs in Windows Vista premium and in Windows Vista Ultimate because of the media center functionality that is built in.

Microsoft reccommends plugging in your wireless device and visiting http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ to get the "optional hardware update" named "Microsoft HID Non-User Input Data Filter." This should fix the problem.

Microsoft also reccommends two possible "workarounds" for this problem if you do not want to install the update or if the update does not work, both are relatively simple:

1- turn off the PCMService.exe program. to do this, first you open the system configuration (start->run->msconfig.exe). on the startup dab of the configuration window, click to clear the PCMService startup item check box. Apply, Close, and if/when prompted, restart your computer.
2- Remove the PowerDVD Software (not advised if you use this software for watching DVD's on your notebook). To do this, open the add or remove programs window (start->run->appwiz.cpl), locate PowerDVD, click change/remove, and follow the steps through for removal of the program.
