I have a JVC rx-662v receiver with JVC rm-sr620u remote. What is the key sequence to add additional components such as TV, cable box, etc to the remote?
Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

As per the instruction manual the overload is there because of high volume condidtions and your over heating the unit. They recomend to turn down the volume shut off the reciver wait a few minutes and turn back on the unit with lower volumes. Second it states that the peaker wires or speakers could be shorted so make sure the speakers are good and the wires when you connected them to the reciver are not shorted. If all is hooked up properly then you have a problem in the output stage of the amp and its gonna need service unless you know how to replace the defective output devices? If not Go online at the addy I give you to find about service parts or service manuals.. Good Luck http://www.jvcservice.com

The JVC RX-884VBK is a great machine, I had it for over 5 years and had no problem at all. I came across the (NO SOUND at all) and I believe it is an easy fix. Check the Front left, there are 2 keys marked 1 and 2 for SPEAKERS output, sometimes you don't notice that you connected the speakers to 1 and the 2 key is pressed. You could have both keys pressed and you will get the sound. I hope that helps.

yes, you must use the setup menu and assign the optical input to the input you are using. Some receivers have a "input mode" switch. If this one does, you only ned to press it until it says "optical". If you have a owners manual, it will decribe all the settings that need to be made to accomplish what you need.
If you do not have one, I have uploaded one to my website for you do have. It will only be there for a limited time before I remove it, so get it quickly. You need Adobe Reader to read this, so if you don't already have iton your computer you can download it free here:

Here is the link to the owners manual:

I would appreciate a "FixYa!" rating for this free information and manual. Let me know if I can be of any further help.
