Belkin G wireless router model F5D7234-4-H V5-wireless issue

Unfortunately wireless routers fail somewhere after the warranty runs out. I have never gotten 5 years out of a router by any different manufacturers. Nothing in the settings except for the hours of operation will stop the router from working. If you have never made the time settings, then the router has failed internally.

How is your router connected? If you have all port lights lit, either green or orange, and nothing connects seeing the Internet, are your problems with wireless access? Is the Wireless set correctly, by going to and logging in to the router? Make sure the SSID (network name) and other security measures are set correctly ... I prefer WPA-PSK[TKIP] for its simplicity. You will need the passcode you choose to log in with wireless devices.

I think the router firmware is not working properly.
Some routers need power cycle ( reboot ) after any changes on the router settings.
Now make sure that you are getting IP address on the internet part of the router.
When you set up WEP and passphrase , Your actual password for the wireless network will be the number in the key number 1 box and NOT the passphrase.

Attempting connection of a hp photosmart 7200 printer

What is the brand of your wireless router? Just make sure the SSID (signal's name) is configured on the wireless setting of your printer. They should have the same SSID configured. If the correct SSID is already configured on the printer's wireless settings, try to change the channel on your wireless router. Use channel 11. You can also try to do a power cycle. Turn off your wireless router and printer for about 1 minute. Power on router first, wait for the lights to stop blinking, then power on your printer.

Lights not lit on router??!! Brand new!

as long as you have connected your powered up modem to the rear port of the router and set it up firstly through the RJ45 cable and it is plugged in, then the power light should be on, if no power light then nothing is going to set up, so as long as you know you have followed the instructions, it must be a faulty unit, but go through everything again, as you may have missed something; as we all do at times.
