Display screen stuck on hp invent - buttons don't work
We have unplugged the printer and unhooked the cables to see if we could get it to work. All we see is a continuous loop of hp invent blank then hp -invent. The setup botton, cancel button or any other button does not respond. When send a print to it this is the error message we get.
The print spooler was unable to connect to the printer. //
The computer, cable are plugged in and we are not using vpn. The internet is currently working.

Re: display screen stuck on hp invent - buttons don't...
This is apparently a common problem with this model, but HP has not offered any help with it. Mine did it a few weeks ago and I found the solution in another thread on fixya. Follow this link and then open the back of the printer and disconnect the wireless card as described by Maggix. It will kill your wireless capability but let the printer start working again. http://www.fixya.com/support/t648531-hp_7410_all_in_one

This is what Maggix reported to solve the problem: "I have found with this printer that the issue is a
mis configured Wi-Fi card. Not sure how to fix it so you have wi-fi but
if thats not an issue you can unplug the wi-fi card and it will boot
and work again. To do this take the back panel off, there will be a
bunch of ribbon connectors and plastic wire connectors. There will be
one plastic connector set that has 5 or 6 wires and is wrapped in a
black sheath. unplug this it is the wi-fi card. plug the machine back
in and see if it boots right."
tried and it works for me. The cable is located in the upper area of
the small board on the back of the printer. It's a ribbon cable made of
5-6 coloured wires, all tied together with a black wrap.
