Re: software needed

If you have an XP Computer no software needed In fact it would have been best left in the box. Just plug the camera to the computer. Set the upload control Switch camera on And in my computer the camera will show as new removable drive Or a window will come up asking 'what the heck do I do with these pictures- and you click 'Send to folder

I am trying to download photos to my pc. All plugged in the the Device Connected box ins blank. Any ideas - its driving me nuts!

OK, when I use my Kodak Easy share cameras on a fresh computer that hasn't downloaded Kodak pictures before I do the following:

Load Easyshare software onto the machine, and install it.

Then, I connect the camera to the computer.

Then, I open the Easyshare software and it may ask a few questions.

Next, I watch the computer (Windows 7) as it loads the proper driver for my camera.

Finally, I click on transfer pictures and I am set with my pictures.

The pictures should show up in the Start Menu's picture under Kodak Pictures.

You should be done.

Let me know how it works out with the Easyshare software downloaded to the computer before trying to load pictures on to the computer.

No disk drive in computer

If you use a memory card, you don't need the disc. Just use a card reader to download the pics. If you absolutely want to load the disc, you could use a friend's computer to open the disc and copy it to a thumb drive and then use that to load it onto your computer.

Cybershot DSC- W1

So many video/picture programs will work with this camera. I use it with both Vista and XP OS. I never loaded software on Vista PC. I just use the "Start/Computer/Disk F (on my PC)" I just hook up the USB cable to camera and PC and then click on Disk F. You should then see the picture files and you can click and drag these files to a photo folder that you designate.

Re: help please

Hai Krista,

We know that window 98 system cannot directly detect and play a new device that we attached to the computer, so the way is you can use your camera as you like, but when you need to transfer picture from camera to PC, remove the memory card and read it using Card Reader, if you don't have that device buy it, it's not expensive one, around USD 9$.

You do not need software. Take SD card out of camera and place into card reader on pc. Drag movie files onto desktop or folder of your choice. At this point you simply need to change the file extension on your recorded movies to ".mpeg"
