Question about Hotpoint Aquarius WF000 Front Load Washer

Stuck in wash cycle

My washing machine keeps getting stuck in the wash cycle. it will wash forever unless the cancel button is pushed. it will rinse and spin fine it just you have to then mannualy select the rinse /spin cycle and press the start button. oh its a hotpoint front loader. its reasonably new i.e it dosent have a mecanical/ clockwork program selector. any advice greatly appriciated. ta pete.

    rinse hold on but cannot cancel it so washing not spinning

Check if heating by putting on as hot wash and feeling the door. if no heat, check continuity thro the heater - modern heaters have a non-resettable cut-out in them which can cause problems. no heat then no program advance

Control board needs to be replaced. Many times the control boards go bad because of a spike in the electrical grid cause by a brown out, lightening strike or even a surge in the power. After the control board is replaced... I suggest using a surge protector on all of your electronic devices including the washing machine.

Rinse cycle gets stuck


Most models have a timer relay that times out when a cycle is over. It may be located behaind the front panel - It's worth a shot

f2 error means long drain or no drain
check the drain pump
replace drain pump if nessesary

Try 'end of cycle' pushed down till the light goes off. Or locate the button with diagram of 'lock', & push down till the light goes off.

Kenmore Front Loader stuck in "LOC" and every button produces "ERR"


Look for the 2 buttons on your that have a lock symbol.  Pushing & hold both for 3 seconds.  This toggles the child proof mode.

The "Rinse Only Button" will not function even after going through the "Cancel" cycle.


br, sounds like you have a stuck keypad. This would be the only reason it is switching to a different cycle. Catriver..post back.
