Question about Sylvania 6427GFF TV
I bought this tv 1 year ago brand new. It has been a great tv untill last night when it suddenly shut off in the middle of watching it. I have tried everything I can think of, checking breakers in the house unplugging the tv and making sure that it wasnt covered in dust or anything. I left it unplugged over night and tried plugging it back in today and still I get nothing. I dont get any sound like it is even powering up. I have tried using the remote to turn it on, as well as the power button on the tv. Does this mean my tv is dead after one year or can it be fixed?
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

As far as fixing goes, you might as well get a new TV... Unless its a LARGE EXPENSIVE HOLY $%^# TV, It will cost more to fix, than to just buy a new one, unless its under warranty, which being an older model as that (or so im reading) It may not be covered.
Try unplugging the TV, and while unplugged, hold down the power button for a full minute (yes, with the plug NOT in the wall) after a minute, plug it back in, and try. Its a hard reset. If it still does not work, and you've tried different outlets, It's probably a repair issue, and you'll need to get someone to fix it, or just junk it :-/

SOURCE: TV won't turn on.
The buzzing sound could be due to either a bad filter capacitor in the power supply or a shorted component further down the line keeping the power supply from running at the correct frequency.

Hello there. I'm sorry to say that it sounds as if the element that actually energizes your screen is bad. It is most likely overheating. or quite poosible the power converter lost a resistor or 2.

Check the outlet to be sure you have power to it. Then check both ends of the tv power cord to insure that they are actually plugged in. good luck.

look for a recall button on the remote
this is normally the button that will turn on the on screen graphics
if the remote is not working point the sensor through a mobile phone with camera switched on and see if it flashes at you then you will know if remote is working
post back if you need any more help
