Question about Dishwashers
The dishwasher is not flooded and I can't get past this fault
SOURCE: E2 error in smeg dishwasher
e2 is overfill or flooded base.
take the bottom front panel off and see if there is water in it and if so, mop it out. if it reoccurs, then you have a leak.
you will see a float device in the front approx middle and this is what actuates e2. if fault is intermittant, try putting a small weight on this - a washer for example.
if e2 is being caused by overfill and not a flooded base, then the water intake moulding needs replacing

E1 error code is an antiflood error code.
Water will be in the base of the washer due to a leak. So what you need to do is pull the washer out and tip it 45 degs backwards and the water will drain out from the base. so you may need a towel for that part.
Once the water is out the antiflood switch will reset itself and the washer should start to work again from there.
Then just keep an eye on it and see if you can locate the leak if there is 1.
