Memory upgrade acer aspire 9301

i have purchased two 200pin ddr2 sodimm 2gb chips for my aspire.have opened back of laptop to reveal old 512 chips but they appear to lay flat with the body - how do i get them out to replace them?

Do you see a metal or plastic P shaped piece on either side of the chip. Gently pull them outwards (away from chip, not up) and the chip should pop up. To insert the new ones, place them in at about a 45 degree and pivot the loose end down.
