If the drums and guitar have cords you need only to plug the end into the USB port under the flap on the front of the XBOX (it's located on the far right, away from the Disk Drive.)
If these accessories are wireless you must connect them.
1.There is a button on your xbox with symbols next to it that look like this ))). Press and hold briefly
2.Look for a button on the instrument that has a symbol next to it that looks like this ))) (like 3 radio waves) press it down
3. after this is done the two should connect and the xbox light will flash briefly.
Unfortunately, Guitar Hero 3 does not support drums. World Tour is the first game in the series to support them. In addition, if they aren't official Guitar Hero drums, they aren't guaranteed to work with World Tour. Hopefully they do work. Good luck!
You can repair your drums actually for pretty reasonable! Here is a link to a video on how to repair the drums yourself, you'll have to purchase the cable yourself, but you can find one if you search eBay for "guitar hero drum cable"
How did you break the wire?
The best I can suggest is that since the drum kit is still under warranty, take it back to the store you bought it from and get it replaced. Be sure to take of the selotape beforehand since it will look like the drum kit has been tampered with.
if you look in the front on the drums there is a light hole and thats where you put the mic
you have to have a new type of mic not the 1 with the volume on the bottme and you cant talk with the mic on guitar you have to have a guitar hero 3 guitar to talk on guitar
