Question about Sears GC-1020 MP3 Player

My element GC-1020 still will not come on or work with my compute

I fell asleep with my player on . When I woke I thought the battery was dead, but when I plugged it in to charge my computer said it was an unknown device. It will not charge or come on. I plugged my wife;s in and it still works.

    my element mp3 player started not turning on i had to press the reset button to even get it to work, then later on it preceded to not work on my computer now my mp3 player doesnt work at all, not even when you hit the reset button.

Inorder for your device to charge, you must "eject" it via the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the system tray, this is when using windows XP

I have the GC-1020 Element mp3 player..i have had it for 3 months.All of a sudden i can only hear the music out of one ear of my ear buds,i have tried my earbuds on something else and they work fine..why...

No Instructions, kind of Music


That is actually made by a company called Element.

Here is the users manual.

You can take music off a CD and put it on the player but you must first "rip" the music to your hard drive. The term "rip" just means taking the audio from the CD and converting it to a file format, such as .mp3, and storing it on your PC's hard drive. You will need a ripping program for that such as Media Monkey http://www.mediamonkey.com.

How am i supposed to be able to use the speaker on my element gc-


for me, i just unplug my headphones and the speaker automaticaly goes on, but it does not work for radio

Element gc-1020 wont unlock


all you have to do is slide the button at the bottom of the player (under the play/pause button) to the left, it should unlock

It´s dead


hey buddy just do one thing.. open the metal cover removing the 4 philips screws.. and then remove the battery then reinsert the battery and try.. it should work ... i had the same thing few days back.. it was charged and in my pocket when i tried to listen to it the damm thing wont switch on .. so i removed the batter and put a LED to the terminal to check power and inserted it back it and valaaa it hot and running again..
