Question about Maytag Atlantis MAV6000 Top Load Washer
My Maytag washing machine is belt driven. It won't agitate when closed and filled with water. However it will spin and drain water but again it won't agitate to wash clothes and it makes a grinding noise. What could be causing this? Is it worth fixing?
It sounds like the transmission is shot. Not knowing the cost of parts if you can replace the transmission yourself then yes it could be worth fixing however if you can't do the job yourself adding cost of parts and labor it may not be worth it
