Re: mens bueche girod 9k gold watch the gold band is 1...
You have two options and for both you need to find yewellery repair shop. Option1) Some jewellers sell NOS (New Old Stock) gold watch bands. If your vallet is thick enough for this option- shop around and buy one. Same jewellery repair shop will be able replace the old band with the new one, even if the band is soldered to watch case. Option2) In the same shop ask if they can built up (lengthen) the clasp. In this case you will spend less money, but you will loose on looks. Note: As mostly all gold watch bands are maschine made, it is allmost impossible to repair or lengthen them in a good looking way. Anyway- consult the jeweller first and see what he says. He may have some NOS witch is exactly matching your old watch band pattern. Good luck.

You can replace this band with any other leather band that will fit the mm specifications of the watch.
If you are familiar and comfortable with eBay, you can order a band off of eBay. However, the only way to buy a watch band and be sure it is authentic Cartier is to buy it directly from Cartier or an authorized dealer.
If the watch is made out of gold the rivet will have to be drilled out and re-solder after a the sizing, Best to have it done by a jeweler. If it is a steel watch it is held together with screws or friction pins. With friction pins the inside of the band will have arrows indicating the direction you have to push the pin in. Use a nail or other object with the same thickness as the pin to push it out in the direction indicated by the arrow on the inside of the band. I hope this was helpfull.
Probably don't need special order band. Most people buy band that is same width. Bands have a collapsible post on each side where they attach to the watch, you just pick a band that fits the width. To change a watch band you have to use something like a razor blade (single edge common to cleaning) to wedge between the metal frame of the watch and the band, then try to get some friction on the post and push it away from the watch and toward the middle of band such that you collapse the post and get it out of one hole that the post is in (2 holes 1 on each side of post) so you can tilt the post out. A new band usually has 2 posts included since it is common to bend the old posts getting them out and hard to just buy those. Put the post in the band, put one end of post into a hole, then tilt and compress with the razor to push post into position, then slide the razor out which allows it to go in the second hole. Now band stays attached.
you probably just need a pin to secure the links back together. an authorized Movado retailer will have the tension or screw pins to put the band back together. They can also order additional links if needed. you can find a local retailer on www.movado.com
