Question about Dyson DC17 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
The brush motor spindle (where the belt hooks onto) keeps getting clogged with dog hair/carpeting. I have to take cover (3 plastice screws) off, roller off, take belt off, clean spindle in unit with needle nose pliers, then reassemble unit. within a few minutes, it clogs again. called dyson, was sent wider belt (they have had similiar calls) and same issue happens. have a golden retriever dog. we usually vacuum 3-4 times weekly. has anyone else had this problem? for a dog vacuum, seems odd that this happens. any ideas? oh, in the beginning, this wasnt a issue and never had problem. just started up one day and continues.
If you have animals get rid of the dyson and go to a vacuum that has a metal brushroll and better airflow. There is no fix on the dyson they just are not good on hair of any kind.

I have the same problem, it started happening once I received a new brush bar with a wider belt. The technician on the phone told me I trying vacuum up to much dog hair. The problem occurs even before the debris cannister is half full.

We have the exact same problem you described, down to the same type of dog. We also vacuum 3-4 times per week. We would definitely love a potential solution.
Thank you.
