Question about Swanstone BT-3060R Veritek Bathtub with Right Drain, White...
Has anyone else installed this alcove and tub combination? The alcove is nearly 3/8" shorter than the tub (alcove is 59-5/8", and the tub is 59-15/16").
I'm sure I can cob it together and it probably won't leak, but I was hoping the parts would fit together better than that. Do I need to get the tub or alcove replaced?
That sounds like the correct dimensions. there needs to be some slack in there so the sealant can be placed around it.

I am going to assume you want a way to fix the chip.
This product is a fiberglass material and can be fixed like a fiberglass car and then painted. If you have ever done this type of work it is not too bad if not then I would take it to an auto body shop and go from there. However I would get a bid from them first as it may be less money to buy a new one. The big problem will be matching the color if it is part of a complete bath combo.
If you decide to do this yourself the colors of fixture paints are very limited were as a body and paint shop can mix up any color you desire.
There is always caulking but that will always show.
Sorry but there is no easy way around this situation.
