IMode IP215 Won't Charge iPod 4th Generation

Got an iPod 4th generation for Christmas. Plugged it into the Curtis IMode iP215 and it plays (with sound) but the iPod reads "Charging is not supported with this accessory". We specifically picked this clock radio so it would charge the iPod. Any advice or anyone know how to set this so it charges?

Same problem with the iP205B. I emailed the company and they told me it was my responsibility for purchasing the product! Even though the packaging says it chargeds the iPod Nano. Then they blamed Apple for not telling them about the design changes and left it at that. Not eve a "sorr" for blowing my money on two of their clocks (two kids). I'll never purchase one of their products again. Now I'm stuck with two overpriced alarm clocks that don't do what I had bough them for (charging).

I recently purchased a 4th generation ipod and I put it on my imode player and it wouldn't charge! I am so upset, all the other ipods charge on it, but why not this one? I think apple should do something about this problem or do a recall on all 4th generation ipods to fix this problem. So many others are having this problem and I think something should be done. This is absolutely ridiculous!

It's because it charges via FireWire and your iPod charges via USB. This 12V vs. 5V. I've encountered this twice recently myself. Scosche makes an adapter that's sold through the Apple Store.

I have the memorex Mi4004 and it won't charge my ipod touch. I have to third generation ad it is 8GB.

Hi, I do have the solution, the Memorex Mi400 clock radio does not itself support charging of the iPod touch. last model supported was the iPod video 5g. There may be a way around this however, I have an iPod sound system that doesn't support charging either-however it has a ipod charging port on the back-if I plug in my iPod touch's charger there it charges, so I would look on the back of your clock radio to see if there is a connector that looks like the one on the bottom of your iPod touch. Plug charger in there and you'll be good to go. I hope this was helpful and thanks for choosing FixYa-good luck, Prodzilla.

Ihome--ih8,

I got the iH8 as a present everything works fine except for the ipod alarm. the unit will play my music when i press the play ipod button, and recognizes its plugged in, but when i set the ipod alarm, without taking out the ipod or anything, it doesnt go off with my music, it just buzzes. Idont think it is the ipod because i have updated the software on the ipod and have even tried 3 different ipods with the iH8. i have had the iH8 for about 2 weeks and set it nearly every day, and out of all those times it has gone off with my music only 3 times. How do i get it to work every time!??

I have an IMODE IP215 that has lost sound. Any suggestions

Hi,

i am in Colombia, and year ago i bought in USA at Circuitcity (Miami) an Imode Ip 215 Clock Radio with IPOD dock station for a nephew gift. It functions several months without any problem but suddenly it does not sound anymore. A technician examination determined that the problem was not the volume control as i though but the CD8227CP Integrated . The Headphone jack always worked fine in spite of that problem, though the volume was fixed..
Idon't know if this common problem of the Imode devices mut be due to a defective or bad quality sound piece

I hope this help you to determine thereal problem.

my mail: Dave2006D@yahoo.com.
