Re: rock band guitar wont connect
Try holding the power button in on the front of the console until the light turns red. This indicates it's completely off. Turn it back on again and see if you can sync the controller. If that doesn't work, try the sync button that is located near the SD slot on the front of the unit.

It depends on which version of Rock band you are playing, Rock band 1 will not work with Guitar Hero guitars at all, but Rock Band 2 on the wii will except them. and for the microphone you have to have a seperate wiimote sync'd up tho count as the controller for the the game to recognize the mic.
You plug the hub into the back of the wii, and then plug the guitar (and mic) into the hub. If you just want to use the guitar, it doesn't matter if you use the hub or not. The hub is pretty much just to make life easier because there are only two ports and rock band requires at least those 2.
you need to have the (3inchX3inch) white box connected to the 4 plug usb connector. also batteries need to be in guitar, then when rock band is on power guitar up(switch on back) and press little button just under the whammy bar, looks like the place "your amp" would be plugged in
