The skin tone is very red and blotchy, not true to color.

Pictures of landscapes are beautiful, but not people.

You have a mode you place your camera in for either landscapes, portraits, etc.. There should be a switch on top of the camera that allows you to select this. Normal or standard is the best setting to leave it on!!

Makeup for Moms

Make up for Moms should serve two purposes. First it should add color to faded skin. Second it should conceal minor flaws and wrinkles as much as possible. Having said this, it's important to understand that make up for Moms is not intended to layer the face in foundations and colors that attempt to make ladies look younger. They are intended to bring out the natural mature beauty, which can make a woman look younger more as a by-product then as a goal. Women with mature skin are as beautiful as the dewy youth - just in a different way.

To start, the foundation for mature skin should be close to medium-weight. Mature skin has wrinkles and a heavy foundation can actually make the wrinkles look deeper. If you have mature skin, you should always err on the lighter or sheerer side of foundations. A sheer or medium-weight foundation will reflect light and cover up many blemishes. An oil-based foundation should be applied on top of a daytime moisturizer designed for mature skin.

When make-up is too heavy, and doesn't blend into your skin tone or highlight your best features, it can actually make you look older. We've all seen women who obviously think more make up is better, but that's a fallacy when it comes to mature skin. Also, your eye shadow and brow colors should blend with your skin tone. The eye shadows used should be cream based, because they will moisturize while hiding flaws. The appearance of dark bags under the eyes can be minimized with a conceler is one shade lighter than your foundation.

Another tip for applying make up for Moms includes using a very small amount of blush on the cheeks that creates a glowing, rather than a clownish, look. Also, make up for Moms should include lipstick with moisturizer in the formula.

Careful selection and application of make up for Moms can enhance any mature women's beauty. Soft application and color designed to highlight natural beauty, while downplaying signs of aging, usually results in melting the years away.

What is and how do i adjust the white balnceon my fujitsu S550 digital camers?

Adjustment is in the menu screen, you shouldn't have to go very deep as it is a frequently adjusted setting.
White Balance is how the camera interprets white depending on ambient lighting. Have you ever noticed how when you are taking pictures inside at night and all of the light comes from lamps and the flash that your pictures have a yellow look? Take a picture under flourescent lamps and the pictures look different as well? How about outside? Best true color rendition on the picture taken outside, but different than the others.
White balance is a way for the photographer to adjust the tone of the picture to accurately reproduce the true colors seen in real life in the picture. Most cameras have an automatic white balance and they usually work fairly well. But for the best results, set it manually. Your whites will be white and skin tones appear accurate.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

MY KODAK 5300 PRINT PICTURES WITH RED SKIN TONES

The Cyan-yellowish color has either dried up or has bad nozzles. Take out the color cartridge and put in on a glass dish with 1/8 inch of warm water on it. After 5 minutes, wipe it dry with tissue paper or paper towel and try it in printer again. You'll probably need a new color cartridge, there is a large failure rate of cartridges from the mfg. and re-mfg.

Color wrong and red spots

Sounds like CCD sensor problem . It starts with 'noisy' pictures ( colors not true and resolution deteriorates )but eventually the sensor stops outputting anything and you end up with blank screen. Have the sensor replaced and camera will work fine.

Shooting modes

The shooting modes are as follows: PROGRAM (P)/AUTO Modes. Used for general photography. The camera automatically makes the settings for natural color balance. In PROGRAM AUTO (P) the brightness (exposure compensation) can be adjusted. Portrait. Suitable for taking a portrait-style photo of a person. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting settings to produce natural skin tones. Landscape + Portrait. Suitable for taking photos of both your subject and the landscape. This setting allows both the foreground subject and background landscape to be in focus. Landscape. Suitable for taking photos of landscapes and other outdoor scenes. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting settings to produce vivid blues and greens. Night and Portrait. Suitable for taking photos of your subject in the evening or at night. Since the shutter speed is slow, it is advised that you use a tripod to support the camera in this mode to help avoid blur from camera shake. Night Scene. Suitable for shooting pictures in the evening or at night. The camera sets a slower shutter speed than is used in normal shooting. If you take a picture of a street at night in any other mode, the lack of brightness will result in a dark picture with only dots of light showing. In this mode, the true appearance of the street is captured. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting settings. If you use the flash, you can take pictures of both foreground subjects and the background. It is advised that you use a tripod to support the camera in this mode to help avoid blur from camera shake. Sports. Suitable for capturing fast moving action without blurring. Even a fast moving object will appear to be stationary. Self Portrait. Enables you to take a picture of yourself while holding the camera. Point the lens toward yourself and the focus will be locked on you. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting settings. The zoom is fixed in the wide position and cannot be changed. Movie Mode. Enables you to take a QuickTime movie.

What is the difference between the F1 & the F2 film simulation mode?

F1 simulation mode suppresses flaring in flash highlights when the flash is used and stresses smooth tonal transitions in the reproduction of skin tones. It is ideal for portrait studio work where the aim is professional standard negative (i.e. Pro Neg Film). F2 simulation mode provides vibrant reproduction of natural colors such as blue skies and is ideal for landscape and nature photography. Almost like shooting with slide film (i.e. Fuji chrome/ Velvia) Note: Color spaces needs to be set on sRGB and D-Range set to wide in order to use these modes. Color, Tone and Sharpness cannot be changes in any F simulation mode.
