thanx aenim4 for your reply ,i already solved my problem i got the part from another faulty power supply ,,and i know its cheap but i got to fix my power supply for only 3$ ,...

once again thank you for your reply ....

why are you repairing a PSU? it's cheap to buy a new one, it will save you a lot of time and unless you are very good at soldering it will give you better system stability. Furthermore, stock HP's PSUs aren't that good.

SOURCE: HP PC will not turn on.

It sounds that the Power supply Unit is faulty and needs replacement. The ATX powersupply is easy to replace. you can do it yourself. Just remember how you take it out is how you're gonna install a new one back, remember where the connectors go on the mother board. Remove PC from power mains before you work on the PC. Before you touch the inside of the PC just touch the frame of the PC to ground your self to avoid static. Good luck.

Power supply HP-A3108F3P Line rectified voltage is good, 310 V. No output voltages, no voltage on UC3843, no oscillation. Switching Mosfet is ok. Need help, thanks.

That could be a problem on secondary side. Shorted rectifier diode.

Please do check start up resistor of uc3843, I think its on pin 7 with 110Kohms or 56Kohms value for 220VAC or 110VAC supply input respectively. Open or change value, it is a fusible resistor. If open do check other components for defects. Don't substitute a common resistor on this one. Datasheet could help you alot.

A word of warning, the voltage may bite and enough to kill. So take necessary precaution, if in doubt let the tech handle it. Or buy a new one.

I am having a problem getting a power unit for my HP Pavilion. The part number I need is 0950-4107. Would another part numbre suit instead, if I am unable to get this? Thank you.

I believe that you mean you need an internal uATX (micro ATX) supply.
Whether it's a Micro-ATX or ATX supply, 12V or not, your PC could do with a quality one anyways. Unless you work for HP, in which case I don't know why you'd be on here, I recommend going to http://newegg.com/ (or your preference) and simply finding an equivalently or better rated supply.
Some sites do have proprietary supplies for sale. Can't think of any off the top of my head. Dells are common, HP models can't be too hard to find.

A ups mosfet ckt one mosfet burnt out og 16 can i replace only one

Usually the mating one has been degraded or damaged as well. Replace as a pair, or all of them that are in the same function.

OFTEN driver transistors and drive diodes are also damaged. Carefully check all associated components to avoid burning out freshly replaced ones.

HI I have a FSP200-61GT SPI switching power supply with a burned out Mosfet on the high voltage side. There is a (I think)a .5 or 1 watt resistor on both sides of the mosfet. But they test good, my problem...

Please give motr of the devices fixed on same heat sink. Search for SMPS IC like FPS or similar, search their application notes and the datasheet of the nMOS. then you can get idea. without those data Solution is impossible.

I cannot get my computer to start up. I am trying

i guess u r a professional..as u r handling power supplies..
ur point of view has always a priority..

no 'the led on the power supply be bright at first and then go dim after connecting the power cord'..this happens when there's no/incorrect oscillation/frequency due to push-pull failure, incorrect wattage output etc.
well, itz likely to b the power supply causing it..!!..

however, check the following:

1) the smps itself may b defective/faulty..check the outputs of smps viz. 0v (black~ground); +12v (yellow); +5v (red, green~ps-on, violet~pg & grey~sb); -12v (blue); -5v(white); +3.3v(orange)..
the 'oscillator and error amplifier ic', or pwm switching regulator circuit..look for defective protector-transformer/resistance(esp 4.7k)/mosfet..

2) if itz not the smps, then it must b ur main/mother board..see with a debug card for mb error..may b short..look for defective capacitors(esp above 1000mfd)/mosfets..go through the mb's south bridge n the circuit lie around atx connector....

3) remove/clean dust neatly..dust is non-uniform in nature n may cause jam/short circuitry/excess resistance n many more..resulting an increase in heat..

4) open the CPU Heat-Sink with fan out of the socket..put some "Heat Sink Compound" (available in local electronics chip level spare market) between the cpu/processor and the CPU Heat Sink *** fan..resit/fit it tightly in position..

5) see if the ram(s) is loose/faulty..open clean/remove carbon & or oxide formed on the teeth with an eraser n resit it..

6) check cmos battery (above +3v)..

..plz give higher priority to step2 (as listed above) CAREFULLY..

always better to seek advise from ur system admin/vendor....
