Question about Apple iPOD 20GB Toshiba Harddrive for Gen 1, 2, 3 & 4 iPODs - MK2004GAL (Refurbished) (IP1930) Hard Drive
HI, MY CLICKWHEEL APPLE 4TH GEN 40GIG SAYS THAT THE HARD DRIVE CANNOT BE WRITTEN TO (OR FROM)..........DOES THIS MEAN THAT ITS DEAD.....? OR IS THERE A GLIMMER OF LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL? I HAVE RESTORED IT AND EVERYTHING LOOKS OK BUT WHEN I TRY TO UPLOAD MUSIC TO IT , IT JUST FAILS AND SAYS THERE IS A CORRUPT FILE. HOPE YOU CAN HELP.
Try starting the Ipod in disc mode attached to your computer and then reformat the drive using disc utility. That should map out any bad sectors. Then try running the Itunes restore software. Hope that gets you up and running again.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
