Question about Kodak ESP 3 Multifunction Printer/ Copier/ Scanner

1 Answer

I get the error (mscortjit.dll) file not installed or corrupt

I've removed and reinstalled the program a couple of times now. I made sure I unplugged it and replugged when told to. It also won't scan. It will copy and print just fine, but no scan.

Your Windows antivirus software might be interfering with that file and blocking it.

Check that you have the latest version of AiO centre from Kodak:

http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/downloads/dln_ekn034524.jhtml?pq-path=12667

Choose your operating system in the drop down box. The link takes youto the XP version.

Turn off the power to your internet modem. Then right click on the icon for your antivirus programme that is near the time on the status bar. One of the menu choices will let you disable the programme. Windows will also complain that you have no antivirus protection, ignore that for now. You are offline.

As you have done before, follow the instructions to install the software, one more time.

When you are finished, be sure to turn your anti virus programme back on by Right clicking on that same icon by the time. One of the choices should be enable. Then turn the power to your internet modem back on.

If you aren't sure that your anti virus is back on, restarting your computer should do the trick.

To verify this: you can call Kodak Support at 1-800-421-6699, 7 A.M. to midnight Eastern time, 7 days a week. Fifteen minute wait, so please be patient.

'Handle is invalid' appears when I try to print from my computer

run hp print diagnostic utility http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02072599&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=421991&tmp_track_link=ot_search
instructions on how to run it are included in that link.
if it does not fix your problem I strongly suggest you uninstall the hp printer software from your computer and reinstall it.if you still have the cd installer, insert it in the cd drive and select uninstall.if you do not have the disk uninstall it using add/remove (win xp) features or programs and features (for vista or win 7).make sure to uninstall all hp programs associated with your officejet 6210 (driver series,hp customer participation program, imaging device functions, shop for hp supplies,hp yahoo toolbar,hp image zone.hp memories disc,hp update,hp smart web printing,hp photosmart essentials). NOTE:uninstall programs enumerated above only when you have that printer installed on your pc because uninstalling them may affect the functionalities of other printers installed on your computer. handle is invalid error is caused by a dll file that got corrupted. after the uninstall, restart pc. then reinstall using the same cd or better yet download the latest version of software. here's the link for that.

Hi as soon as i click copy project on PT Publisher it says disc loaded but at same time a box pops up saying unhandled exception and then the whole program closes down.

Please use these instructions below to completely remove the program.
1. Go Start - Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs. Find PTPublisher and click Remove.

2. Go to C:\Program Files\Primera Technology. Delete the "PTPublisher" folder

3. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\PTI. Delete the "PTPublisher" folder. (The "Application Data" folder may be a hidden folder)
On Windows Vista and Windows 7 go to C:\ProgramData\PTI. Delete the "PTPublisher" folder.
Do not delete the "Drivers" folder from PTI.
Note: This folder contains your log file and personal settings such as default print quality, burn speeds, and default file locations. If you delete this folder, all settings will be returned to their factory defaults and the log file will be cleared. Rename this folder to "PTPublisherOLD" if you think you may want to retain this information.
4. Remove Burn Engine.

32Bit Windows - Browse to C:\WINDOWS\system32 and delete the following 4 files from the System 32 folder:

Px.dll
PxMas.dll
PxSub.dll
PxWave.dll

and
Pxhelp20.sys from the following location C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS

64Bit Windows - Delete the following files from C:\windows\sysWow64

-px.dll
-pxmas.dll
-pxsfs.dll
-pxwave.dll

and one file from here C:\windows\system32\drivers
-pxhelp64.dll
Also delete the PX storage folder located at c:\program files\common files
5. Reinstall the latest software from the installation disc or from the files downloaded from our download site.

6. Reboot the PC. (Do NOT reboot until you have reinstalled PTPublisher)

Latest PTPublisher Software Version is here.

Hello,

I have read through your comments and it looks like your Operating System (OS) is corrupted.

You can use that XP installation CD Service Pack 1 to install a new copy of Windows XP, then later upgrade to service pack 2 or 3 depending on your choice.

How ever, the errors that have been developed in your OS could simply be fixed by upgrading your service pack, to service pack 3.
Follow this link to download service pack 3.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=5B33B5A8-5E76-401F-BE08-1E1555D4F3D4&displaylang=en

If it fails to install or if it fails ti fix the errors, you will have to make a new installation of Windows XP using the CD you have, then upgrade to Service pack 2 after the installation.

Follow this link to download service pack 2, which you will download and install after you have installed a new OS.

Now, to install Windows XP, follow the steps below that i have provided.
How ever, i would advise you to back up all your data, on the desktop and in the My Documents folder to an external location like an empty CD,or flash drive or to a different partition, to prevent data loss.
After data backup, follow these steps to install Windows XP.

Below is the detailed procedure of installing Microsoft Windows XP:
  • Before installing Windows XP or any other operating system, you should backup all your data. Data can be backed up on a separate partition, if the hard disk is partitioned or you can back it up on external storage devices like CDs or on a network.
  • Restart the computer and go to the Setup menu by pressing F2 and change the first boot device to CD, press Esc and save settings.
  • Insert the CD labeled Microsoft Windows XP into the computer and restart the computer.
  • When the pc restarts, a message will appear telling you to press any key to boot from CD, press a key immediately the message appears and the setup process will begin.
  • After the files have been loaded, Windows will start and it will give you an option of repairing using Recovery Console by pressing “R” or continue with setup by pressing “ENTER”; press enter to continue with setup.
  • Setup will list all your disk partitions, highlight the partition where you want to install Windows, this is mainly partition “C”, press “D” to delete the partition, then press “L” to confirm.
  • Highlight the partition you deleted, and then press “C” to create a new partition, press “ENTER” to create the partition.
  • Press “ENTER” again to install Windows on the New (Raw) Partition you have created.
  • Format the partition using NTFS file system.
  • After format has completed, Windows will restart and setup will prompt you to boot from CD again. Ignore the message and let setup continue automatically.
  • Follow the next steps which will ask you to setup the system Time and Date, Network and enter a serial key, until setup finishes.
  • After setup has finished, Windows will restart and will welcome you for the first time; Microsoft Windows XP will have successfully been installed on your computer.
Thank you for using Fixya,
Kenneth

At startup iget a error message saying The procedure entry point_ismbcspace could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCR71.dll

Hi,

Can you tell me what program your trying to start that gives this error message? Also do you have XP, VISTA or Other?

Try re-installing the problem software.

Try registering the file with start -> run -> type "regsvr32 msvcr71.dll" without quotes, and press OK or enter.

If the problem still remains try downloading this file, the readme file inside has the instructions on what to do with it, then you may want to repeat the start -> run command.
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/pop.php?msvcr71

If the problem still remains let me know and answer the questions I've posted for you.

Thanks,
Ekse

RUN DLL ERROR LOADING C:/windows/system32/OVTFboot.dll The specified module could not be found

Most times DLL errors arise from a file being corrupted on your hard drive and there's a relatively easy fix for it.

the best solution is to re-install the drivers for your specific printer either from the disc provided by the manufacturer or from a downloaded file from the manufacturer's website.
