Question about NetGear RangeMax NEXT WNR834B Wireless Router
When your router don't have any power at all this can be a problem firs of the power adapter that you;re using so first thing that you can try is to use a different power adapter and if using a different power adapter still no power on the router , sorry to say but router is already bad and needs a replacement...

Router boots up but locked ports are most likely a bad capacitor
You can tell the bad one is raised on top not flat.
You may find a matching cap on a motherboard or other junk hardware you have around. Remove the bad one and solder the new one in place.
