SOURCE: washer displays DL error
The FdL fault is a door lock error code. It sounds like you may have a bad door latch. Unplugging it and/or pushing the cancel button will not clear the fault as long as the fault condition exists. At best, you may have to replace the door latch. At worst, the CCU (main computer) could also be bad, causing the fault. The door latch can run about $50. The CCU is about $200. Double check all you wiring first before replacing any parts. I hope this will help you.

reposition the switch.. in the door
first try holding button at door with finger and press start..if same symptom appears...check tab that depresses that switch and if its good try to reposition or replace switch.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet won't start
I had a similar problem on my Whirpool Duet Washer model GHW9150PW0. I found the solution here (Scott says his wire was cut, but in my case one wire of the control ribbon cable was frayed because it had fallen out of its holder and onto the tub assembly, part of which is so coarse that it ate through the insulation and wire by friction during the spin cycle). A quick splice of the wire to close the circuit and some tape to keep the cable from falling out of its holder and away from the vibrating, coarse tub assembly did the trick.

Take the lid off, just open it & pull it straight up.There should be a little red button that the lid strikes against unless its a different model,in that case it has a magnetic reed switch under the right hand side of the hob.press this red switch instead of closeing lid,see if it fill with no problem.the lid may not be making good contact with switch..if thats not it then it may be the inlet valve..then you can try the hot,if theres no problem with hot then its the cold valve.

Testimonial: "Very helpful, as I was completely ignorant about the workings of a washing machine. Replied promptly and had a good sense of humour - important in a crisis!"
SOURCE: Keep getting an F1 code
You must have trash or sediment in your pressure tube hose. Remove it from the pressure switch and blow the stuff out then re-secure the hose and pump out any water in the tub. Then retry. Use this handy dandy service manual as a GUIDE
