Question about Kenmore 57029 Side by Side Refrigerator
I have a Frigidaire FRS26ZGEW4 Side by Side refrigerator that has an ice dispensing problem. The teeth on the gear part of the dispensing drum, p/n 215752800, are stripped. I can not find the part anywhere. Anyone know of a replacement? In fact I would purchase the complete assembly if necessary or an alternative unit if it would fit. Please help.
Thanks for getting back.
I've searched your model, and found both the main icemaker gear and a complete replacement icemaker unit as a drop-in replacement.
Gear is listed at $5.25 , and complete unit at $ 81.41.
It is usually the fingers or the gear teeth that break.
Try this page for ordering information - Both are held in stock
If I've identified the wrong part - please get back to me If I can help further

Tips for a great answer:
Good Afternoon friend, thanks for your inquiry!
I understand that your icemaker is not dispensing ice in your Frigidaire refrigerator. I would recommend checking the dispenser chute, if there is a blockage of ice within the chute it would not dispense. When you press on the dispenser do you hear a noise? If you do that could be the auger trying to push the ice out, if you do not hear a noise it sounds like it be a potential problem with the dispenser or control panel. I would seek assistance from a technician to come out and properly diagnose your refrigerator. I hope this helps. -Matt

Hello Jim czyryca - From what you are describing if the ice maker is not making ice but is dispensing water, sounds like the refrigerator has a frozen water line, faulty ice maker valve or bad component that sends power to the ice maker valve when needed. The ice maker cycles internally to call for water so I strongly suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately to assist with the repairs.
