Access voicemail from another line while away from home

How do I access my voicemail from my home phone (Panasonic) while I am away from home? Can I call my home number while away from home and enter a code so as to access my voicemail?

Also, can I get a copy of the phone manual online or by fax or by mail?
My model #: KX-TG6071B

Thanks and Happy New Year.

The previous solution only works for older machines. I have the same Panasonic model and this works every time.
On your handset, hit the top center button(menu). Touch the arrow down button 7 times. Should say "Initial settings". Hit top right button on handset (display shows this is now the "select" key). Display now shows "Set Answering". Hit top right button again ( select key). Display now reads "Ring Count". Hit arrow down button 2 times. Display now reads "Remote Code". Hit select key again and enter your desired 2 digit remote code. Hit "Off" key. When you call the answering machine from the road, simply enter those same digits. Piece of cake. Enjoy.

Dial your home number, and when the answering machine picks up, enter the code (found on the bottom of the machine, in most cases).
You should then hear your options. each phone is different, but generally, this is the process.

How to check voicemail messages

I assume you mean voicemail messages taken by voicemail service on your telephone line, the ones indicated by a flashing "voicemail" indicator on the phone. You may need to contact your service provider as not all systems are the same, but here's how it usually works. From your home phone, dial your own number so that the voicemail answers. Press the "*" button and you'll be prompted to enter your passcode. (The default passcode is usually the last 4 digits of your phone number, and you enter a new one when you go through mailbox setup.) Once you've entered the passcode and are in the voicemail system, voice prompts guide you through how to access messages and make setup changes. To process is usually the same to check your messages when you're away, although some service providers may give you a different access number to call. Again, check with your service provider for all the details if your system is different.

How do i set up my voicemail...manual not explaining ...please list steps ....

Hi,

Once you call your voicemail service, you'll be taken thru step by step instructions to set up your voicemail.
To call your voicemail service

1. From the Home screen, tap Phone.
2. Touch and hold down 1.

If this does not work, you need to set up your voicemail number. Your subscription includes an answering service, callers can leave a voicemail message when you cannot answer a call. Usually, the voicemail number is saved on the SIM card. If not, contact your service provider to get your voicemail number. You can then enter the number manually.
To enter your voicemail number
  1. From the Home screen, tap .
  2. Find and tap Settings > Call settings > Voicemail settings.
  3. Enter your voicemail number.
  4. Tap OK.
Hope this helps. If so, please rate the solution.

-regards,
M

How can I remotely change my outgoing message on my panasonic cordless home phone?

It will depend on the exact model of your phone, but generally you can access the message area by dialing your home phone, waiting until it goes to voicemail, and pressing the # key any time during the voicemail message. You'll be prompted to enter your PIN and will then be able to change any settings you need to. If this doesn't work, please reply with your phone's model and we can get it figured out. Good luck.
