Simple answer to this (and I'm sorry you won't like this)...
Replace your printhead but first, check the warranty date on the printhead and then call HP support and ask politely/firmly for a replacement.
HP are well aware of issues with the black part of the HP88 printhead (the one used by the L7000 series MFD) and shouldn't argue too much.
