Trouble with installing Windows CE

Hi, I recently purchased the Cassiopeia E-100 and put the CD-ROM for installing Microsoft Windows CE into my computer. Nothing happened, so I used the Start-Run function to type in e:\setup and still no luck. I am running my computer on Windows 2000. Can anyone else be of some assistance here?

You do not install Windows CE, it is built into the Cassiopeia. What the CD is is the software for your computer to interact with the Cassiopeia.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

My computer formatted i have genuine product key how to get win xp home edition and install in my computer

Put the genuine Microsoft CD-ROM disk into your CD-ROM drive.
Restart your computer.
As soon as it starts, look for a message like "press Fxx to temporary change boot-order".
Press that key.
Select to boot from you CD-ROM drive.
This will start to install Windows, by reading from the CD-ROM drive.

IrDa Driver for E-100?

Windows CE like the version you have do not use drivers persay. You need a program like the Peacemaker that has the support built in. There are no such thing as installable drivers like the desktop Windows. The newer PocketPC's have this feature built into Windows CE. Good luck

Casio E-15 and Linksys WCF11

Well - if your PDA runs CE 2.11, it should install. Try downloading specific CAB file from Linksys's website for the MIPS processor (E-15 uses VR4111). If you have Linksys WCF11 card, go to If setup still doesn't work - copy a MIPS CAB file to your Casio via ActiveSync and run it from there. However, even after you install it - you might face problems. I still wasn't able to run my Linksys WCF11 on Casio E-100. Apparently, there is no easy way to specify IP settings (gateway, WINS, DNS) in Windows CE 2.11 for Linksys (unlike PocketPC OS, where we have network settings in control panel). I tried playing with registry - however, it messes up big time.

Casio has its own Video converter & video player software which was supplied as bonus pack with some devices. Works well too. You could also try Windows Media Player 7.1 for PPC.
