1. The yellow arm sticking up that has two notches in it is supposed to have a spring attached to it. That is what causes the tension. It doesn't look like a spring is attached in the video.

Need to know what series it is 120 240 and so on you can go to this web site and select the mower thats yours. once on this site choose your mower and you can get belt diagram there. there is also a Phone number if you can't find your mower. I recommend that you go to any john deere dealer and get a john deere replacement belt. What you will find if you go with a generic is that it will not be quite as good, and will not last.
