My Panasonic cf-w8 is mute? How do I unmute it? Does the Fn button have something to do with it?

Well the FN key could have set the mute on if the mute key was also pressed.

Click the megaphone at the bottom right near the time and open the audio properties and volume control. Check to make sure the mute is not checked.

You can also click Start/Control Panel and look for Audio or Sound and adjust to make sure the mute is not check.

On your keyboard if you Press and Hold the FN function key at the lower left portion of the keyboard then you can hit the key that has the megaphone with an X across it to take the mute off.

Some laptops have 3 buttons that control the volume. One for turning the volume up, one for turning the volume down and one for muting the volume.

My computer have no sound

Check the volume control of your pc if the volume was set to mute. Click start, all programs, accessories, entertainment and click volume control. Check the pc speaker and master volume it must not be muted. If it muted un-check it. If its not muted then your problem is the audio driver. You have to reinstall the audio driver of *********** board. Send me the model of laptop so I could send you the appropriate sound driver. Just send it by posting fallow up comment for this problem. Thank you.

No sound

sound is on mute or drivers for sound card are not installed, or your volume is all the way down, here is a few things to check, look down into your bottom right corner of your desktop right click your speaker sound icon, open volume mixer, make sure everthing is not muted and turned up, also go to start-settings-control panel-sounds- and make sure your sound is on.

Sound doesnt work I am sure It is minor but can't figure it out NO Sound

You can always try your speakers in another computer to make sure they're working. Open control panel and open Sound and Audio Devices. Under "Volume" check the box "Plance volume icon in the taskbar" and it will appear in the lower right hand corner. Open it and make sure the volume controls are not all the way down and set to high and that the mute box isn't checked. Go back to "Sounds and Audio Devices" and go to the "Sounds" tab. Select a sound like "Asterisk" or "Critical Stop". HIghlight it and then push the ">" button to play the sound and see if it is working.

Volume

you might want to look into one of two options... either an external sound card, or a keyboard that has mltimedia buttons on it.

If you go with the former, the Audigy 2 NX external sound card might be want you are looking for. It's small and has volume controls right on the top. Granted, it is overkill if you just want simple volume control. However, if you don't have a high-end sound card already, it could be a nice addition to your desk..?
