Internet Problem I went on DriverGuide to find a MA311 Driver for Vista. I contacted a person there and he said that the XP Driver should work fine... I downloaded it and I tried to install. It worked fine.... for 15 minutes. Now Vista is saying: "Connected -> Not Connected -> Acquiring IP Address -> Limited Connectivity -> CONNECTED -> Not Connected......................

Since the problem here is a unstable wireless connection you can consider changing the wireless settings of your router like changing the wireless network name and also changing the wireless channel then after that try to reconnect to it...

Why aren't u using the Netgear driver, have u gone to there web site for assistance, always use the manufacturer's software when possible, it is specific to the device and best suited to run the hardware no matter what it may be a network adapter etc.

install this driver..

Many problems are solved by rebooting your system. Do it in this order:

  1. Power off your computer.
  2. Power off your router.
  3. Power off your modem.
  4. Power on your modem. Wait until modem is completely restarted before the next step. This may take upward of two minutes.
  5. Power on your router. Wait until router completely restarts. This also can take upward of two minutes.
  6. Power on your computer.

    try this

Then go to Authentication window of network connection property, then clear the Enable IEEE
    802.1x authentication for this network
check box. (If you cannot click
the check box, then you are not using 802.1x authentication or wireless
    security.)

I reinstalled XP and cannot connect internet

Most likely, XP does not have a copy of your network adapter driver and you will have to install it manually.

1. Get the make and model of your network adapter
2. Try DriverGuide to look for your driver if you do not have the CD for it

Network controller driver

us.acer.com go to service, driver download, select your model, under that above the driver list, change OS from Vista to XP Pro x32, and download the LAN driver. That is your ethernet controller drivers. Since ethernet is your network controller, I'm assuming you need your wireless NIC controller aswell, it will be listed under Wireless LAN. If you don't know/remember the make, download all of them and try each one til one works.

Can't connect to internet with 2wire PC port

yes U R right. this is most probably a "Driver" problem. You could try installing the software in "Administrator Mode".. with "Compatability Mode" set for XP. If this doesn't work.. then ya may have to try to contact the manufacturer and ask for a compatable driver for Vista.
