Question about Mitsubishi VS-60607 TV
My big screen had the same problem. According to my service repair person, the units have a latent defect in the lamp seals. Apparently, the lamps are encased in a silicone based oil. When the seals at the bottom of the lamp housing fail, the oil leaks onto the main circuit board and shorts out the system. The board woudl probably need to be repair or replaced. Again, according to my service person, the manufacturer corrected the design problem in subsequent models by installing a plastic shield across the circuit board.
