Thanks for the comment but i did that and that didnt work. However i have solved my problem too. It was because i had windowss vista and LG pc suite is not compatible with that. To make it compatible you have to:

-right click on LG pc suite.

    -click on properties.

    -click on the compatibility tab.

-check the box which says Run the program in compatibilty mode for: (windows XP service pack 2)

    -Then try again! =]

    Hope this helps anyone x

i opened my LG pc suite for KU990 Viewty, but it keeps saying 'invalid access to memory location" everytime i clicked Contents. i tried almost everything - changed firewalls, turned off parental control, fixed it in the 'properties' and compatibility, but it STILL WON'T WORK.

it's driving me crazy...what can be wrong with it?

I had the same problem and thanks to another user on the website I have now fixed mine.

Unistall everything to do with LG on your computer and disconnect your phone. Start from scratch and install everything again.

It worked for me and took about 10 minutes.

Good Luck

Invalid access to memory location with LG KU990

Disconnect he phone from the USB.

Open your phone menu.
Open the phone settings.

Open te USB connectivity.

Change te settings to Mass storage.

Connect the phone to the USB port.

If windows reconize the phone as a removable drive the you can
drag and drop your files in the explorer. When you saved the files on your pc then format the card in Fat 32 in a card reader from your laptop or pc or by a extern card reader.

Whe the format is done you can drop the files back.

Set the settings in USB connectivity back in Data service when
you are done.

Swich of the phone and put the card back in the slot.

Now the phone will reconize your memmory card.

hope this will help.

LG PC Suite won't work! > "Invalid access to memory location"

Try this:

Disconnect your phone from the USB.

Open the menu on your phone and go to phone settings.
Now choose Connectivity.
Go to USB connection mode.

Choose Mass storge and select it.
Now connect your phone to the USB port.

This way your phone will act like a extern USB HardDrive.

Open your Explorer browser in Windows and find the removable
drive.

Now you have the option to drag and drop any files between your
LG Viewty and your Pc or Laptop.

When you finished the job you had to do change the settings back
to Data service on your phone.

This will help you out to get the files witout LG PcSuite.

LG PC Suite

Im going to tell you the safest, fastest, and Easiest way to do it, but it may require you to change settings manually on your device first. Make sure you have a Memory card,
Choose settings for USB connections on your phone.
1.Find "USB connection mo..."
  • Press the menu icon.
  • Press the fourth tab.
  • Press Phone settings.
  • Press Connectivity.
  • Press USB connection mo....
  • 2.Select setting

  • Press Mass storage
  • Press OK.
  • 3.Exit

Once you've done this and have your memory in your device, Open the MY COMPUTER folder in your computer and connect your device to your computer using the USB cord, a new Icon will appear containing the folders from your device's memory card, that way you will easily be able to transfer files back and forth without the NEED of any sofware Cd's Or the LG PC Suit.

And Welcome to the Viewty Family! Enjoy...!
