Question about DBX DriveRack 480 Processing Unit Home Equalizer

1 Answer

I have a dbx driverack 480 that was professionally installed 3 years ago at our church, we have had to return it to dbx once for repair (just stopped turning on...) and it came back working like a champ. now a year or so later the outputs have begun cutting in and out and there is an audible "clicking" sound from the unit itself, as if something is arcing inside. all of the leds on the front appear to be working normally and there are no clip lights. i have no idea whats going on. help!

Test the XLR cables that go in and out of the dbx. It's kind of a long shot but I think it's the best place to start.

No access to driverack 480 with belkin adapter

Hi there,

The Driverack Series all use a Null Modem cable for the connection to the Serial Port. A standard serial cable or female to female lead will not work, as the wiring has to be of the Null Modem type. A suitable lead should be available from your local PC supplier, failing that DBX can supply you with one also.

Hope that helps.

DBX DriveRack PA power failure

repair the transformers,,,using a digital voltmeter when both transfrormer are good the measure like 56 ohms, if one is good and the other is bad is gonna measure like 120 ohms , if both are damage it will measure nothing, all this with the switch in its on stage.

If you dont find anyone that can repair the transformers buy them.
