Question about Pioneer PD-M423 CD Player

1 Answer

Do we have to have the PD-M423 CD magazine for our player

We want to buy 4 new 6-CD magazines to put our CDs in..............does this mean we can only use magazines for the PD-M423. I'm afraid to order just any magazine .... afraid it may not work in our PD-M423.
Your help will be much appreciated.

Pioneer model # PD-M423 won't read the CD and ejects it.

If it is with all clean cd's then it can be a dirty lens which you can buy cleaner for, but i've read the manual and was dated 1993, so if a cleaner not helps , it's the unit itself and time for a new player. Parts are very expensive and it's one whole unit..... I think it's the end.

My pioneer PD-M426 seems to only play disks 3 and 4 even when the magazine is full, sounds like its trying to spin the disk but failing..??

Please remove the magazine and check if there is warping within the magazine which can cause misalignment. In such a case you will need to replace the magazine . Also check all the CD's within for any damage, sometimes some spurious types can warp with heat.If so it will not load and play. Test in another cd player to confirm. Also clean the optical head within the player if this fails to read or else the optical head can be also weak.

Where does the cables from the cd player connect to.

Depends on the capabilities of the device you're connecting it to.

Typically, the analog Audio Out RCA cables would go to any corresponding Line Level input; the coaxial- or optical-digital audio would go to any compatible connectors on the receiving unit.

Error 99 displayed on cd player. CD player is a Denon DCH-520.

Normally you just hold down the eject button on your stock head unit and it resets the mico computer
