NF110 Netbook shows black screen and at top says 'operating system not found' Can you help?

First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty. . Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.

the laptop is unable to read operating sistem from disk - you have to try to insert recovery disk after changing in the bios (you can read on laptop manual how come in bios for changing to first boot is hard disk to first boot is cdrom or dvd or cd ) after that you can try to       recovery the operating sistem - it may be not so easy delfo

The clicking is from the hard drive. This clicking , along with the error op system not found, indicates that the drive has crashed or failed. You will have to replace the hard drive.

Press the F2, and laptop will go to the bios where you will be able to change the boot order from the hard drive to the optical drive.

Sounds like you have a bad hard drive. Boot up with a Windows CD and select repair at the setup menu. It should dump you to a command line. Type "chkdsk /f" without the quotes and it will check the hard drive for errors. When it's done, reboot normally and it should get you into windows. If it doesn't, replace the hard drive and install windows on the new HDD.

  • Format an SD card 1GB or larger to FAT32
  • Insert formated SD card into your PC
  • Download and save the SYNET_NEW_SHELL_IMAGE.zip (65MB)
  • Unzip the SYNET_NEW_SHELL_IMAGE.zip (65MB) file to the root of an SD card.
  • This should result in the creation of a folder called script in the root directory of the SD card.
  • Insert the SD card into the SmartBook (netbook) device and power on the netbook.
  • The netbook will update its software. Wait for the window ?Upgrade? completed.
  • When completed, remove the SD card and reboot the Smartbook by pressing the device hard power ON/OFF button.

I have an Acer Aspire One A0751h netbook and the webcam seems to have been completely uninstalled. Can't find it under imaging devices in device manager, nothing. I've tried downloading the driver and app...
I had the same problem twice. On mine the camera tends to come physically disconnected. That's why it doesn't even show up. Take out the top screws on your screen enclosure (even while the computer is on) and gently pop open the frame to reveal the webcam. See if the connector is not fully plugged in. Once plugged in, the operating system will automatically detect new hardware and find the right driver to install it. If it doesn't install right, or is mixed up with other hardware, just delete those devices in the device manager and restart. Then they might install in the right way again.
