Question about Televison & Video

2 Answers

Hello, I would be grateful for any help with the following problem. My panasonic viera TH-42PZ70BA (purchased last week) comes on for a split second then goes off again and then the red light next to the power switch flashes seven times and then stops and flashes seven times again and so on. Any ideas? Many thanks, Kind regards, Kevin

Problem can be in power supply, Y-sustain board, SU board, a lot possibilities as Qualified TV tech can diagnose it with help of service manual. As you said it is new TV so I hope it will have warranty cover. Please ask Panasonic for warranty coverage for this Plasma TV.

Thank you for posting your question on FixYa! I will be happy to help you with this problem. Please give me a little more info to go off of.

-When you turn the tv on now, the light that is blinking is it still green?

-Do you ever get a red light on the front of the set?

-Can you turn the tv off and make the green blinking light go away?

Please provide me with this info so I can better answer your question.

Seeking an instruction manual for TH-42P270BA

Do you mean the Panasonic TH-42PZ70BA? If so, then the manual is available from ManualsLib: http://www.manualslib.com/products/Panasonic-Th-42pz70ba-3190573.html . The manual is also available on the Panasonic Europe support site. Go here: http://www.panasonic.eu/Downloads/en_GB/popup.html and then search for the model. From there, you will need to accept the Panasonic Terms of Use (a pop-up will open) to view the manual.

I hope this helps.

Your TV is showing symptoms of power supply failure. It needs to be repaired or replaced. The remote has nothing to do with the power supply problem

The Panasonic Viera does not have a split screen/picture in picture feature. So I'm afraid you can't actually do that.

Is there away to split scrren on a42 in. panasonic viera

Hi
If you do not have PIP ( Picture in Picture ) then i would say this is not possible.
You would have to check your user guide which if your tv does have this function will tell you how it is done.
If you dont have the user manual then you can download it here......

Hope this helps

I have a Panasonic TH-42PZ70BA Plasma TV. Went to switch it on & it cut off instantly with the power button flashig red. Tried unplugging and leaving but still the same

With the information given here it seems that there is a power supply issue and the TV needs service in the power section or power supply section of the TV.
There is a protection circuit that will not power the unit if there is a voltage overload in the primary section of the power on circuit. This is a warning that something in the circuit is not voltage or current correct and has halted operation.
You need a service tech to diagnose the issue.
