Most likely a bad heating element or bad/broken connection.

Where to find fuses. My dryer is not heating up.

Does your dryer have power? If yes, then check (1) the flow of air outside the house from your dryer tube and (2) your circuit breaker panel for each circuit in the house (I've not seen fuses/breakers built into dryers -- though that could change). Then check (3) your heating element, (4) thermostat, (5) high-temp thermal cutoff switch, and (6) for debris in the air flow path to / from from the centrifugal fan.

It could be several other things thermal fuse, thermal cut out, hi limit thermostat, dryer coils, heat sensor,or igniter. All of these parts are inexpensive and easy to test and replace. There is a video at t http://appliancehelponline.com/gdryertroublevideo.html his will walk you thru the troubleshooting of these components. It may be a different model but the troubleshooting will be the same. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations. All parts come with installation instructions. It could be possibly your rear roller bearings expanding with heat causing them to not spin as freely? Im not really too sure but its an idea you dont have many moving parts on the unit. Just your idler pulley, blower wheel, and rollers. Hope this helps.

Kenmore 70 Series Dryer not heating and not cutting off

I had an identical problem to yours this weekend with my Kenmore dryer. There were 2 problems.

1. Timer was broken. Does not advance to "OFF" position on timed dry, however it still works for auto-dry.

2. Thermal fuse was blown. Upon replacing, dryer heated up normally.

I believe when the timer broke, the dryer had kept running and blew the thermal fuse. On Sears' website, thermal fuse is $5.30, timer is roughly $80.

No heat

The problem is probably a faulty thermal fuse or heating element. The thermal fuse should be just inside the back of the dryer, close to or on the exhaust duct. It is about one inch long. Both components can be easily tested with an ohm meter or multimeter. They should have continuity, if either one doesn't, that component will have to be replaced. Sure hope this helps you and good luck.

I have a sears kenmore dryer 90 series that will not heat

Heating element may have burned out. Replace with universal element. Unplug dryer. Remove back. Remove housing covering element. Visually inspect the element and the terminals to ensure it is intact. If the element is broken, carefully unthread it without stretching it as the overall length will be required to prestretch the new one. Follow the same path to thread in the new element. Ensure the housing is clean inside as lint can cause the element to become damaged. Tighten the connections. Close it up. Reconnect power.

heating element is located at the back of the dryer. if you can see a big coil of wires like a long spring laid back and fort to a duct , that is the heating element.
