Hi my name is Tommy Id Like to know how to fix file system error on HOTT MU723. please help!!, Tommy

Let's start from the star: what's supposed to be a
HOTT MU723? Is it a "cheapo" chinese mp3 player? If it is an mp3 player and you've got a file system error, open it in your computer and, psesuming it's Removable Drive E: try to repair it with chkdsk E: /F
If cna't, try to format it to FAT 32, though I don't know what might happen after that.
If no way to format it so be prepared to worst: you lost your mp3

Mp3 player downloads

Please do the following to isolate the problem:

1. Connect the MP3 player into different USB port of the computer and make sure that the computer could detect it.
2. If the computer does not detect it, use another computer.
3. Make sure that you have enough memory space in your MP3 player so that you could download songs.
4. Download songs that has .mp3 file format
5. Try different USB cable to isolate the problem.

NOTE: iPod is using different different file format, make sure that your MP3 supports that file format. If not, those songs will notplay in you MP3.

My MP3 player lost storage

Does this player use a removable card or internal storage? If it's removable, then you should be able to use a card reader and reformat it (slow format) to regain your original space. If it's internal, I would suggest getting a trial version of software such as Disk Space Recovery Wizard 6.5 to regain your real estate. Worst case scenario, you have a hacked player and the 4GB you thought you had never existed.

What size memory does your mp3 player have?

44 songs sounds about right for a 512Mb with high bitrates.

Go to SanDisk and download the latest firmware update. You shouldn't have to format anything for it to work.
