The problem you have can be caused by something inside.. clothes blocking the outwater, or metal or something blocking the pump.. soulution: clean it..... Take away gum (the gum betwin pump and machin). Clean/take awway clothes and etc from inside... there can also be something in the gum... check it! and check the pump to.

My 12 year old AEG OKO LAVAMAT is making a grinding sound when it fills. It's fine at all other times. I've tried cleaning out the filter, and running it empty.

This is usually caused by the recycling pump running empty whilst the washing is still soaking up the initial fill water. as the water begins to soak the clothes it then starts to pass through the drum into the pump and the whole thing quietens down. running empty will not work. to test this theory try opening the drawer very slightly and filling it manually with a hose before starting the machine, (ONLY TO THE NORMAL LEVEL) and see if the noise is still as bad.

The washer does not spin all the water out ,clothes remain quite wet

is your pump blocked? sometimes hair clips or money etc get stuck in the pump and stop it pumping effectively.

Water not filling machine and do not see suds but it does sound like its filling up. Hear it filling but do not see any water

Not sure of your model but the larger LG front loaders have 2 pumps, 1 for drain and other to pump water up over the clothes through a fitting in the top of the door rubber seal. If something is stuck in the pump or the pump has failed the clothes wont get wet.

I have a Bosch WVF 2401 the wash is coming out too wet the spin dryer is not extracting enough water out of the clothes - is there a filter I need to clean out?

Hi,
There is a water pump in the machine which pumps the water out of the outer tub and into the drain, after the wash and rinse cycles. It is possible that this pump isn't working properly. I think if it weren't working at all, you wouldn't be able to get beyond the wash cycle. It has been my experience that small articles of clothing may get washed or spun out of the inner tub and into the area around the pump pick up, thus partially blocking the flow to the pump. It's also possible that the drain hose from the pump to the drain may be partially clogged. It is also possible that the pump doesn't run sufficiently long to get all of the water out because its' motor gets hot and shuts down or because of a problem in the controls mechanism which manages the the starting and run time of the pump.
Firstly, I would unplug the washer from the wall outlet and probe under the inner tub, or possibly remove the tub to see that there is no blockage from clothing. It's also possible that things left in clothing pockets like paper clips, small plastic items, etc. can get into the pump and lock up the impeller. If you're sure it isn't blocked you can then run a "short cycle", no load and water only, and watch to see how much water comes out of the discharge hose where it's hung on the drain pipe. It should gush out, and tub should be free of standing water prior to the start of the first rinse cycle. If it does not, then you'll have to access the pump and clear it of obstructions or replace it, if defective. A fair handy man can get to pump either from the rear of the machine with back plate off, or by removing the cabinet cover from the frame, depending on the model of the the machine.
OR
If your clothes remain wet after your washer’s spin cycle, perform the following diagnostics:
1) Lift the lid during the spin cycle. If the tub is not spinning, you may have a damaged motor coupler. Call a repairperson to replace this part.
2) If the tub is spinning, recheck the load to make sure it is balanced. If you are certain the load is balanced but your clothes are still wet, you may need to call a repairperson to replace a damaged motor pulley, tub bearing, belt, or clutch.

Thanks for contacting fixya.com

In spin cycle, water sometimes does not drain at all; other times the clothes are wet, other times the spin cycle works fine. Problen can be rectified by placing the washer into spin cycle a few times.

when on spin check to see if you can hear a low whirring noise {the pump} if the machine is not pumping or not pumping fast enough for sufficient water to drain out of the machine then the machine will not spin due to having to much water in. i would also check to see if all filters on the waste water output are clear of any foreign bodies as this will reduce the speed of which the water is pumped out of the machine{some machines have 2 filters } good luck

AEG Oko-Lavamat 86820 Update Error code C9

Hello. I got error code C9 on a LAVAMAT 86800. It pumped in water, and it pumps out water. You can select pump in or out....But the motor dont turn. It will not sentrifuge. So I bought new carbon brush'es on the net. One of them were totally wore down. Now it works. They lasted for 10 years.

CLOTHES ARE VERY WET AT THE END OF THE CYCLE

The pump is probably obstructed by an object. Typicial it will be a coin. You will need to gain access to the pump, which should be located on the bottom front to the machine. Remove the hoses to the pump.(Important..have a bowl or pan to catch the water that will come out of the hoses)
Turn the machine on a cycle that will turn the pump on. This will let you know if the pump is working correctly. If something is in the pump, remove the pump and remove any obstructions. Then just reverse the process to reassemble your machine. If the pump is not working thaen you will need to replace it.

Clothes still wet aftre drying cycle over

It sounds as if the wash cycle isn't terminated by pumping the rinse water out and spinning to rid the clothing of most of the water.
Most dryers sense moisture but I think they all will have a maximum run-time to prevent possible fires if the programmer fails to shut them down at the end of the drying cycle.
I would watch the machine and when it started the drying cycle, I would shut it off and check for surplus water that hadn't been pumped out as it should have been.
