Problem for Hitachi 50UX58B 50 in. Rear Projection Television

I have a Hitachi 50UX58B 50 in. Rear Projection screen tv that just started casting a blue shadow on the images in the screen. I followed all the trouble shooting in the manual, called the toll-free assistance line but no help. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have had the tv for 10 years now and it just started doing this.
