Blue line I have a problem with a blue horizontal line on the screen that is about 30" long and had a circular wave to it. Has anyone had a similar problem and a fix for it? It is a Sony Grand Wega KDP-57XBR2. The A and D boards have been replaced. Thanks

The TV may be picking up stray radiation from another piece of equipment, try disconnecting and unplugging all other digi/cable/dvdplayers/phones etc. to isolate the offending article

i Jasdeep working in superb broadcast as an lengineer .and for this problem i can suggest u the following things :
1. Play back the cleaning tape for 10 sec. only then use it.

actually this problem occurs when the head get clogged (i.e, dirty ) it REC. only single band and shows the same in play back too.

I would check the main power supply for a bad filter cap. That could cause the wavy lines. The different colors are probably a problem with the convergence circuit. Try resoldering the convergence ICs first. If that does not resolve it replace the ICs. Also check for low valued resistors in that same circuit or pico fuses.

We had a blue cone on the screen. We have adjusted the sharpness, contrast, and cross hairs. The cone has almost completely disappeared, but we still have blue shadows. Could this mean a blown color tube?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Replace convergence IC's,then check alignment.

Use OEM quality ==I use Panasonic IC's with no call-backs.
