HP LaserJet 4250 leaving skid mark

The printer is a LaserJet 4250. It is leaving a skid mark on ANYTHING printed (including envelopes and regular paper) in the center-left side of the page. The cleaning process has been done several times. When printing halfway and then removing the paper, the skid mark disappears so the Transfer Roller was replaced. The skid mark still remains. Please advise what could the problem be and how to fix it.

SOURCE: HP LaserJet 1100A unwanted toner marks on face of print

check this link,
either fuser or print drum. to verify , start print job, open door before finnished and see if marks appear before or after fuser. Before paper gets to fuser toner ink will smudge.

I was printing envelopes yesterday on my HP 1200 -- they printed perfectly - - no wrinkles, no track marks or anything. Then today I went to continue my printing and all of a sudden the printer is bending...

It sounds like you changed the weight (thickness) of the envelopes being used or they aren't being fed in right.
Make sure the paper guides are snug against the envelopes.
Try rotating them 180 degrees (in which case, if that works, you may have to print your labels upside-down).

If this doesn't help, then my best suggestion is to get Avery address labels and print on those and stick them to the envelopes.

The only other thing I can think of off the top of my head that would cause that is a sudden change in humidity, but that's not something we can control!

Loading envelopes in an HP Laserjet 4250

Envelopes in the HP 4250 are loaded in tray 1 -- the pull-out tray on the front of the printer. Set the envelopes in and adjust the side guides, then go into the menu and set the correct paper size and type for tray 1.

HP P3005 - skid marks along paper's edge

Print 3 pages. Use the manual feed tray. As they print, open the cover, remove the toner and look down at the paper in the printer. Do you see marks along the edge? If no...replace the fuser. If yes...it could be the transfer roller.

4250 HP. Loses settings. Correct to show envelope

In the paper-handling menu set the envelope feeder size to the size of your envelope and the envelope feeder type to *any type.

Then ensure you are printing envelopes from your application.

My HP LaserJet 4200 prints fine from tray 2, but will NOT print envelopes from tray 1. It WILL print on regular paper from tray 1, but will not print envelopes. What gives? I've already rebooted the

Are there settings on the control panel of your printer?
Is the tray 1 the MP tray? (The one that flips towards you)
If so, can you change the settings of the Tray 1 to Envelope on the control panel?

I hope this helps.

Cannot print odd-sized envelope with 4250 LJ

I got to HP tech support, and they tell me that the envelope feeder is intended only for a few standard envelope sizes. If we're trying to use a different sized envelope, as in this case, it must be fed manually, and the feeder bin will not work. So that answers that. Thanks for the help, though.

Envelopes smudge

I have been informed that these fusers have a seperate heating element in the middle of the heat roller for envelopes to save energy and it's temperature is not sensed by the thermistor. If I trick the printer (with paper path tests) into printing envvelopes while thinking that it is letter the fusing is ok.

Hp 4250 GHOSTING

Are you telling the machine that paper type is letter head or envelopes, It must be done, it changes temp of fuser to suit the paper type, no it is not a power supply problem change paper type to card stock/thick/letterhead etc to suit then machine will adjust temp to suit.. ie file, print properties paper type.

50.2 fuser error replace fuser.
