With DISH Network, we have TV Everywhere. With a 722 or 722k receiver and a Sling Box connected to a high speed Internet router, you can view your recordings and Live TV from your cell phone or PC with Internet access. You only need to log into your account at DISHnetwork.com and select Remote Access. You will also need the APP for your cell phone. I hope this helps.
This is not hard to fix at all, If you do have a phone line than connect a phone chord from the back of the receiver to a phone jack in the wall. If you dont than you have to unfortunately get on the phone and call customer service, tell them you dont have a phone line or the installer did not connect it if you do, and your going to tell them you need a phone bypass, that will be sent over the satellites and you will have to wait a couple minutes for the hit, after that you are going to have to do a system set up. System set up is in the menu, easyiest way is hit menu 6, 1 , 1. and do a check, that will take a few minutes, if that doesnt work keep pestering the customer service. If you do have a phone line and cant reach a jack the do have products that make a wireless signal, if you dont want to spend the 20 bucks then call up dish and the company will bring u one.
hope this helps
The 311 receiver is normall a pretty tough machine. Getting a 70 % signal is normal, and it shouldn't fluctuate too much unless you have something like a tree or other obstacle in the way.
85% of the problems with these older systems is the LNB. I see it all the time.
My first suggestion would be changing the LNB (the eye of the dish). You say that your system is 10 years old, and there are a lot of LNB's out there that go bad over time. It may say that you are getting signal, but the quality may be so poor that the receiver may not know what to do with it.
If you have 2 LNB's (separate eyes) on your dish, then you have two singles or duals with a switch 21. I'd remove these and replace them with a Legacy Twin LNB. If you have a Twin LNB, then replace it with another Twin (especially if it has "lot" number printer in the front of it, these are notoriously bad).
automatic code search. this may take a while to do but it works. hold the directv button and tv power until the red light stays on. while its on press the channel up button (this will search for a code). release and test with the tv power button. if the tv does not turn off, press the channel up button again and test with the tv power. when the tv finally goes off, press the enter/last button (bottom right corner of the remote) to store the code
The no signal message is there because the screen is waiting for a signal from the receiver, it then switches into protection mode (flashing red). The usual cause is a blown protection fuse inside the receiver.
